Antigone, Sophocles' timeless drama, in a 20th century version by Bertolt Brecht, deals with the individual's struggle against the authoritarian state, civil disobedience, and having the moral courage to die for one's convictions.
Mary Moynihan, who directs the production, is a lecturer in Drama and Theatre Studies on the Bachelor of Arts in Drama(Performance) in DIT. Mary is a professional theatre director, writer and facilitator. She directs and writes for Smashing Times Theatre Company and is an associate artist and theate director with Focus theatre.
