Eamonn Nolan

Eamonn began playing trumpet in the Rathfarnham Concert Band with Robert. P. Chester. This was followed by three years with Killyan Bannister, before studying for five years at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow. In Scotland he worked with the BBC Scottish Symphony and Scottish National Jazz Orchestras.

For several years Eamonn worked as a freelance trumpet player based in Dublin, appearing with the RTE Concert Orchestra and National Symphony, The Orchestra of St Cecilia, Opera Theatre Company and many other groups.

In early 2007 he secured the position of second trumpet in the RTECO.
He is a member of the Dublin based swing band ‘Holly and the Go-lights’, the Dublin City Jazz Orchestra and occasionally plays with Ireland's top brass ensemble, Dublin Brass.
