MMus (Repetiteur)

Admission Requirements                           

The MMus (Opera/Repetiteur) programme is suitable for singers with sufficient relevant experience and vocal maturity to cope with rigorous the demands of the programme and who clearly demonstrate the potential for entry to the profession.  The programme is also open to repetiteurs with sufficient relevant experience and who clearly demonstrate the potential for entry to the profession.  Repetiteurs should have a working knowledge of the principal singing languages.

The minimum general entrance requirement for the MMus (Opera) programme is a an undergraduate honours degree, normally in Music.

Applicants whose first language is not English will be required to provide evidence of proficiency in English.  An IELTS (International English Language Testing System) score of 6.0, with no individual component score lower than 5.0, is normally required for entry to the MMus (Opera) programme.

Auditions:  early auditions will take place in the w/b 15 December 2014; late auditions will take place in Spring 2015

You should submit the following along with your application:

  • •   CV with details of your performing experience (repertoire and productions) musical training and other relevant experience/education
  • •   Statement of Purpose outlining your aims and objectives for undertaking postgraduate study in opera
  • •   Two references relating to your opera singing/repetiteur experience, preferably one from your most recent teacher and one from an industry professional.
