Gavin Brennan: Concorde Up Close Performer 2013

Gavin Brennan, a final year student of the Bachelor of Music Performance programme at DIT Conservatory of Music & Drama, has been selected as the ‘Up Close Performer 2013’ to work with the new music ensemble, Concorde. Gavin is studying saxophone with Kevin Hanafin and will be mentored by members of Concorde in preparation for a performance with the group on Sunday 24 March 2013 at the RHA Gallery. Gavin will perform two pieces - the evocative Nightbird by Karen Tanaka for saxophone and tape and an atmospheric duo with cello by Greek composer Astasia Nasopoulou who is based in Amsterdam.
