The RTÉ Concert Orchestra and Principal Conductor, David Brophy premiere a new work by Dave Flynn written for the legendary fiddle-player Martin Hayes at the National Concert Hall next Wednesday 24th November.  Dave Flynn is currently a PhD Student in Composition at DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama under the supervision of Dr Jane O'Leary.  He received his BMus from DIT Conservatory of Music and Drama studying guitar with Dr John Feeley, before undertaking a MMus in Composition at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.   A highlight of Wednesday’s concert will be the world premiere of Dave Flynn's Aontacht (Unity): A Concerto for Traditional Irish Musician and Orchestra, commissioned by RTÉ especially for Martin Hayes and the RTÉ Concert Orchestra.  For more details see: www.rte.ie/concertorchestra
